We Need more General Service Representatives

In accordance with the Twelve Traditions, the WA Fellowship needs a way to communicate its meeting and member priorities with the World Service Organization (WSO) Board. A General Service Representative (GSR) represents the voice of his or her meeting’s group conscience, connecting their home meeting with WA as a whole. As such, the GSRs are a key part of the inverted pyramid structure of the WA-WSO.

The current service requirements for a GSR are:

    A. Six 1.5-hour Saturday virtual meetings of the GSR’s per year on the second Saturday of the month from 8:00-9:00 a.m., U.S. Pacific Time.

    B. Communication between the home meeting group and the World Service Organization.

    C. Ideally, serving as the home meeting’s Delegate at the General Assembly held during the annual World Service Organization Conference at the end of September.

GSRs are also welcome to give additional service on Committees and as needed.

If your meeting does not currently have a GSR, please select one.

Please contact Judith A, the WA GSR Chair, at wa.gsr.chair@gmail.com for more information or with any questions.
